Solid Wood Nightstands in Acacia, Mango and Bayur
The wood sets the mood more than the silhouette does. Acacia, on the Westwood and the Webb, has a pronounced, lively grain. How tall should a nightstand be?
Level with the top of your mattress, or within two or three inches of it. Measure with the bedding on, because a thick topper can change the answer. Too low and the lamp switch is a reach every night; too high and the table crowds the pillows.
What size nightstand works with a king bed?
A king bed is 76 inches wide. Many designers use roughly 24 to 28 inches of width beside a king and 18 to 24 inches beside a queen. At 34 inches wide, the Ezra Solid Wood 2-Drawer Nightstand holds its own next to a king.
What size lamp suits a nightstand?
Choose a lamp that puts the bottom of the shade near eye level when you sit up in bed. On a nightstand of mattress height, that usually means a lamp 24 to 27 inches tall. Keep the shade narrower than the tabletop.
How do you clean a nightstand?
Dust wood with a soft, dry cloth and blot spills straight away instead of letting them sit. For woven cane, wipe with a slightly damp cloth and let it air dry completely.
