Seat height, and buying the wrong one is the most common mistake in this category. A standard kitchen counter sits at 36 inches and takes a 24 to 26 inch seat. A raised bar sits around 42 inches and takes a 28 to 30 inch seat. Measure from the floor to the top of the surface before ordering, not the height of the cabinet below it. Every stool here is counter height unless the product page says otherwise.
